ABBY ELISE
AMERICAN FINE ARTIST & LIVE PAINTER IN PROVENCE

I’m Abby Elise — a fine artist and live wedding painter based between Ohio and Provence.
Since launching my full-time art career in 2020, I’ve created bespoke commissions and live-painted celebrations across the U.S. and now throughout the South of France.
My impressionist style — rooted in years of self-guided study and formal training in fine art and marketing — captures the light, color, and emotion of each moment as it unfolds.
My work has been featured in exhibitions and publications across the U.S. and is now finding a home in Provence, where I’m honored to be among the leading live wedding painters bringing art to life in this region’s most romantic settings.
HOW I BECAME A
SOUTH OF FRANCE
LIVE WEDDING PAINTER
I’ve been live painting weddings and events across the U.S. since the very beginning of my fine art career—connecting with communities, capturing moments, and creating pieces that hold meaning far beyond the canvas.
When I first traveled to the South of France, I was struck by how popular the region is for destination weddings. Couples from all over the world come here for the beauty, the romance, and of course—Provence’s rich artistic history. I couldn’t help but imagine how live painting could fit into that story.
So I brought the concept with me.
Live wedding painting offers something rare: an experience that immerses your guests in the artistry of Provence, and a fine art piece that becomes your first heirloom together. It’s a memory made visible—a romantic, lasting keepsake that celebrates your day in brushstrokes.
Today, I specialize in working with international couples and wedding planners throughout the South of France. As a fluent English speaker with years of experience in both art and events, I work closely with your team to ensure your live painting reflects your style, your palette, and the feeling of the day—elevated, timeless, and uniquely yours.
FLORALS
Florals have been a focal point in my work for years. I’m drawn to their colors, their shapes, and the way they quietly show up during some of life’s biggest moments...

—whether that’s picking wildflowers as a kid, seeing them grow along old country roads, or receiving them in times of love, celebration, or remembrance. Everyone has a personal connection to flowers, and that’s what I try to capture in my paintings.
My style leans impressionist—soft, layered, and a little dreamlike.
I like to leave space for interpretation. The edges aren’t always sharp, the forms aren’t always defined, and that’s the point. I want the viewer to find something personal in the piece. To see what they want to see, and feel something because of it.
In weddings, florals become more than decoration—they tell a story. The couple chooses colors, a venue, and all the little details that reflect who they are. My job is to take all of that in and create a composition that reflects the emotion of the day. One that feels timeless and deeply personal, and hopefully becomes a meaningful reminder of the beginning of a beautiful life together.
